If you're studying music theory, this is a great package for you.
Over 500 flash cards to help theory students memorize: key signatures, notes on the music
staff, intervals, and chord spellings. Theory students, especially at the college level,
need to know musical facts very quickly. Flash cards are the best way to memorize this
information. Some examples of our cards are shown below. Our flash cards are different
colors for each subject and we've even included some blank cards you can use for other
subjects if needed. Order now at this special low price and you'll get over
500 cards for under $20, and don't forget to check out our ear-training software
and free shipping offer too (see bottom of page).
Key Signatures
Students often use time consuming methods when learning key signatures.
For example, you may have been taught to use a silly phrase or complex formula to memorize
the order of sharps and flats. Then you would be able to figure out the key. That approach
works, but it can take time to figure out and can be very confusing. It’s much more effective
to simply memorize all of the key signatures. We’ve included cards for the 15 major keys and
the 15 minor keys. There are also cards for learning relative major and minor key signatures.
For example, G major on one side and E minor on the other, because they both contain one sharp.
There are 45 total key signature cards.
Notes
We’ve included 64 flash cards for memorizing notes on the music staff.
These cards are great for beginner music students or if you need to learn a new clef.
The cards include notes 3 ledger lines below the music staff to 3 ledger lines above the staff.
Treble bass and alto clef cards are included.
Intervals
Knowing intervals quickly helps with the
understanding of chord and scale construction as well as musical composition. We've
included interval cards ascending and descending for all possible sharp, flat and natural notes.
You’ll even learn uncommon intervals that contain
double sharps and double flats. The front of each card shows a note name, an arrow and the
interval. The card on the left is asking “What note is a perfect 5th above D.” When you
flip the card over it shows the answer, “A”, and it asks, “What note is a perfect 5th below A.”
We’ve included cards for the intervals: minor 2nd, Major 2nd, minor 3rd, Major 3rd, Perfect 4th,
Tritones (Aug 4th and dim 5th Spellings), Perfect 5th, minor 6th, Major 6th, minor 7th, Major 7th,
and Perfect Octave. There are 272 interval cards.
Chords
This package also includes 189 chord spelling flash cards for all possible Major, Minor, Diminished, Augmented,
Seventh, Major Seventh, Minor Seventh, Minor Seven Flat Five (Half Diminished) and Diminished Seventh chords.
Each card has the chord name on one side and the notes in the chord on the other.
