System Requirements

This package contains both the Windows and Mac version on the same DVDROM.
You do not have to specify which operating system you have when ordering.

DVDROM Drive, Internet access required for activation.
RSE playback requires - 2GB RAM, 2GB drive space, 2.4Ghz dual-core processor.
MIDI playback requires - 1GB RAM, 256MB drive space, 1Ghz processor.

Audio Samples

RSE - Realistic Sound Engine.   Guitar Pro now uses real instrument sounds to play back music.  If you are familiar with MIDI and other notation programs, then you know how poorly MIDI guitar sounds.  MIDI is a computer generated music that sounds pretty good for some instruments but guitar is very difficult to reproduce.   Guitar Pro solves this problem. You can choose from a variety of instruments and effects which give you endless audio possibilities.

Listen to these short audio samples in MP3 format. We have also included MIDI samples so you can really hear the difference between RSE and MIDI.   When you hear how realistic these RSE samples sound, you'll think you're listening to an audio recording of someone playing music. But remember, these audio files were created simply by entering numbers on a tablature staff.   Guitar Pro is really amazing.

Guitar Pro, gives you complete control over the sound and look of your music.  You can add effects like harmonics, chorus, reverb, vibrato, etc. You can make professional looking printouts of anything you enter or download. You can import and export a variety of different file formats including ASCII, MIDI, PDF, MusicXML and more.   You can even save your files in WAV format and burn them to CD.   There are also over 50,000 songs online in Guitar Pro format that you can download for free.

The RSE (Realistic Sound Engine) technology includes studio recordings of instruments, as well as some effect modelisations that are the result of years of research. You'll get access to over a hundred soundbanks, and over fifty effects pedals and amps. We provide many presets for all styles, and you can also configure your own effect chains. You can apply a mastering to the final result, with a compressor-limiter, a reverb, and a 10-track equalizer. You can also listen to your scores with MIDI sound.
